New York (77WABC) – A Harlem gang member was arrested and charged with attempted murder after a shooting in the Bronx that nearly injured two young children.
Police say Michael Lopez was arrested Friday morning in connection to an encounter on June 17 in the Mt. Eden section of the Bronx, where he allegedly opened fire on another man. The shots barely missed 5-year-old Christian and his 13-year-old sister Mia.

Both children were not harmed in the attack.
Police have said that Lopez also faces charges of assault, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal use of firearm, reckless endangerment and attempted reckless endangerment.
