A woman and her 7-year-old daughter were found dead inside a million dollar Connecticut home Thursday afternoon.
According to the Westport Police Department, they responded to a call about an unresponsive woman who was pronounced dead at the scene. as officers searched the rest of the house, they found the child also deceased.

The Connecticut Post reports that the deaths are being investigated as a double homicide.
“The Westport Police is in the beginning stages of this investigation and is being assisted by the State Police Major Crimes Unit,” said the Westport Police Department in a statement. “This appears to be an isolated incident and we do not believe that there is any active threat to the community.”
