New York (77WABC) – On Monday, Nathan’s Famous will add vegan hot dogs to the menu in some New York locations, according to the New York Post.

Nathan’s announced the plans in April when they partnered with Meatless Farms, which offers vegan, plant-based meat.
They first started selling vegan hot dogs on Shopify for $44.99. The package would include six vegan hot dogs, hot dog buns, and a bottle of Nathan’s mustard. They were a huge hit and sold out very quickly, so Nathan’s worked on a restock.
Now, consumers will be able to buy them straight from a location in the New York area, including the famous Coney Island location.
Nathan’s recently announced their annual hot dog eating competition on July 4, but have not yet mentioned if the vegan option will be offered to participants.
