Good Samaritans Rescue a Woman Pushed Onto Subway Tracks

Brooklyn, NY (77WABC)-A  homeless suspect allegedly pushed a 62-year-old woman from the northbound “J” subway platform onto subway tracks at the Broadway Junction Station Tuesday.  The suspect, Luis Morales, is charged with two counts each of assault and reckless endangerment according to NYPD Detectives.

Detectives say Morales is homeless but his last known address was 108-40 51 Avenue in Queens, NY

Charges include:

  • Assault 2nd
  • Reckless Endangerment 1st
  • Reckless Endangerment 2nd
  • Assault 3rd

An MTA conductor and other good samaritans jumped into action bringing the woman to safety early yesterday afternoon around 1:10 pm.

Police say the woman, whose name has not been released,  was taken to Brookdale University Hospital for treatment of a leg laceration.
