Former President Trump Speaks at 2021 CPAC in Orlando, US – 28 Feb 2021
NEW YORK (77WABC) – Maggie Haberman, the White House correspondent for the New York Times, tweeted that former President Donald Trump expects to be reinstated as the country’s leader before the end of the year.
Trump has been telling a number of people he’s in contact with that he expects he will get reinstated by August (no that isn’t how it works but simply sharing the information). https://t.co/kaXSXKnpF0

This comes following CNN correspondent Donie O’Sullivan reporting that “some Trump supporters and QAnon believers” are hoping for a coup that reinstates the former President.
Over the weekend, President Trump’s former attorney Sidney Powell stated at a QAnon conference on Saturday that Trump could be reinstated. According to Business Insider, she said, “A new inauguration date is set, and Biden is told to move out of the White House, and President Trump should be moved back in.” She also said that Trump would not get credit for time lost.
An attendee at Sunday’s conference asked Trump’s former national security advisor, Michael Flynn, why a coup couldn’t happen here. Flynn responded with, “No reason. I mean, it should happen here. No reason. That’s right.”
He later posted on Parler that his words were twisted – the post reading, “Let me be VERY CLEAR – There is NO reason whatsoever for any coup in America, and I do not and have not at any time called for any action of that sort.”
“It isn’t happening in a vacuum,” Haberman said in a tweet. “It is happening as he faced the possibility of an indictment from the Manhattan DA.”
She added that people close to him have said that he is “laser focused” on the election audits in some states.
But he is not putting out statements about the “audits” in states just for the sake of it. He’s been laser focused on them, according to several people who’ve spoken with him (as well as WaPo reporting a few weeks ago).
