Miami, FL (77WABC) — Miami-Dade Police on Monday afternoon released surveillance video of who they believe are the suspects and SUV involved in the mass shooting over the Memorial Day Holiday weekend.

The chilling 20-second video shows the very moments when a white, Nissan Pathfinder, drives up to the front of a billiards hall late Saturday night.   Three men jump out of the SUV, with assault rifles in hand as they run out of the frame of the camera.    Within seconds, the suspects return to the SUV, before then peeling off away from the scene.

Those seconds led to the deaths of two people and 23 people shot in total after a birthday concert turned into bloody nightmare.   Police say the shooting was a targeted attack where the suspects fired assault weapons aimlessly into a crowd of people waiting outside the concert venue.

On Monday, law enforcement authorities gave new insight into the moments before the attack by releasing video and photos of the suspects.  77WABC has also learned the suspects waited in the SUV for over 30 minutes before unleashing a barrage of bullets onto the revelers — waiting outside.

“We must get these killers off the streets.  Gun violence is an epidemic and the pandemic has intensified it,” said Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava.

Miami-Dade Police spent all of Sunday and even into the early morning hours canvassing the bloody crime scene and interviewing witnesses who were there at the concert.   Miami-Dade officials are pleading with the public to divulge more information to bring the suspects to justice.

“We need information. We need you to come forward if you have information. To help us solve these crimes these crimes. We have $100,000 that was pledged in reward for the Northwest dade shooting thanks to the generosity and concern of our business leader and community leader, said Miami-Dade Commissioner Keon Hardemon.

In addition to the donation by philanthropist and TV personality Marcus Lemonis of $100,000, the Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers reward of $5,000, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) has provided an additional $25,000.  This brings the total Crime Stoppers reward to $130,000.

This latest rampage is one of at least 68 mass shootings happening in the month of May and more than 238 this year alone — according to the Gun Violence archive.  Saturday’s shooting was the second to happen in the area since the beginning of the Memorial Day Weekend.

The victims range in age from 17 to 32 years of age.  Three of the victims are in critical condition.   One of the shooting victims has been released from the hospital.
