VIDEO; A Teenager Standing At A Bronx Intersection Shot In His Back

Bronx, NY (77WABC)-A 16-year-old standing at the intersection of East 116th Street and Sheridan Avenue in the Bronx was approached by an unidentified man who opened fire striking the teenager from behind.

The gunman fled on foot.  The teenager was taken by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals /Lincoln in stable condition.

The shooting happened within the confines of the 44th precinct at 11:38 pm on Tuesday, May 4th.

The NYPD has released surveillance video and a photo of the unidentified individual taken from the vicinity of the shooting.
