Queens, NY (77WABC)-A robbery suspect who has displayed a box cutter in a series of four robberies is at large. Police are hoping the public can help identify the suspect who is seen in the attached photo’s and video.
The latest robbery involving the suspect was on Friday, April 16th shortly after midnight when he entered a deli at 68-10 Roosevelt Avenue. The suspect displayed a box cutter to a 45-year-old male store clerk demanding money, slashing the clerk on his hand. The suspect fled the location with $600.
The suspect also displayed a box cutter to a 25-year-old female grocery store clerk during a robbery at 103-01 Astoria Blvd. on Monday April 12th. The suspect fled the grocery store with $1,200. The woman was unhurt.
Two days prior to that, the suspect targeted a grocery store at 41-70 74th St. where a 37-year-old man was working behind the counter. The suspect displayed a box cutter forcibly removing $760 from the cash register before fleeing. The male clerk was not hurt.
Police say the first incident involving the suspect with a box cutter occurred around 9:30 pm the evening of Wed. April 7th at a grocery store at 91-24 Corona Ave. $1,000 was forcibly removed from a cash register at that location. The store 31-year-old male clerk working behind the counter was uninjured.
