A Drug Bust At A Long Island Daycare Center Four Arrests

Bayshore, NY (7(77WABC)-The owner of Channel Daycare and three others are under arrest after a raid turned up drugs, guns and tens of thousands of collars in cash.

Suffolk County police raided Channel Daycare in Bay Shore and a home in Brentwood on Saturday April 17th finding three 9mm guns, 600 grams of cocaine, 60 grams of fentanyl $239,000 in cash.

The owner of the Bayshore daycare  Magodeiry Landron, her sons Rafael Landron and Anthony Dominguez and Dominguez’s girlfriend, Crystal Rivera, were arrested.

Police say the investigation into the daycare center began in response to tips  received from the community. A narcotics investigation into activity at Channel Daycare at 206 Delaware Ave., was begun  by the Suffolk County Police Third Squad Special Operations Team, in conjunction with the Long Island Heroin Task Force, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, and Criminal Intelligence Section detectives.

The investigation revealed narcotics were being dealt out of the residence.  Police executed a search warrant at the Daycare at approximately 5:30 a.m. Detectives seized two loaded 9mm handguns with extended magazines, ammunition, approximately 600 grams of cocaine, 60 grams of fentanyl, packaging materials consistent with narcotic drug sales, and more than $173,000.

 Landron, 50-years-old, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Her son, Rafael Landron, 34, also a resident of the home, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, three counts of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

A child related to both individuals was in the house at the time the warrant was executed and was released into the custody of a family member.

A short time later, detectives executed a second search warrant at the home of Magodeiry Landron’s son, Anthony Dominguez, located at 4 Arbell Drive in Brentwood. There they seized an additional $66,000, a 9 mm Glock with two extended magazines and ammunition. Dominguez, 29, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. His girlfriend, Crystal Rivera, 30, a resident of the home, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Two children, who live in the residence, were released into the custody of family.

The Suffolk County Police Emergency Service and Canine Sections were on scene during the execution of both warrants. The New York State Office of Children and Family Services and Suffolk County Child Protective Services were both notified.

 All four defendants were scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday, April 18th.
