SUMNER
Brooklyn, NY (77WABC)-Police on routine patrol came upon gunfire near NYCHA’s Sumner Houses in Brooklyn last night. Officers discharged their weapons however did not hit anyone.
Police say one suspect whose name has not been released was taken into custody. Charges and the name of the individual in custody have not been announced.
The incident happened around 9:30 last night in the Bedford Stuyvesant Section. Two officers were taken to a hospital to be checked out.
An investigation is ongoing as the police think a second suspect is hiding out in the housing complex.
