DENVER, COLORADO (77WABC) – Authorities have released the identity of the alleged Colorado shooter. His name is Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa. He’s a 21 year old Muslim man who now faces 10 counts of murder in the first degree after a shooting rampage at a Colorado supermarket Monday afternoon.
The suspect’s Facebook page, which has since been scrubbed, includes several pro Islam posts, one anti-Trump post, and a pro-immigration post.
Alissa is accused of opening fire, using a semi-automatic weapon, at the King Soopers store. The victims range in age from 2o to 65. One of them was Boulder Police officer and father of 7, Eric Talley who was 51.
Police on Tuesday also released the names of the others killed: Denny Stong, 20; Neven Stanisic, 23; Rikki Olds, 25; Tralona Bartkowiak, 49; Suzanne Fountain, 59; Teri Leiker, 51; Kevin Mahoney, 61; Lynn Murray, 62; Jody Waters, 65.
The shooter’s motive remains unclear at this time. His family reportedly said he suffers from mental issues and was bullied for being Islamic.
