VIDEO;A Suspect At Large In An Asian Hate Crime Attack

(New York, NY/77WABC)-There’s been another Covid-19 fueled Asian Hate Crime attack in NYC. The latest violent incident in which police are asking the public to help identify a suspect happened the evening of Monday, Feb. 15th, 2021 in front of Fred Samuel Park on Lenox Avenue between West 139 & 140 Street in NYC.

The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating an attack on a 27-year-old male who was walking to his vehicle when he was pushed by an unknown individual.  When the victim asked why he was pushed, the individual made anti-Asian statements and punched the victim in the face causing pain and swelling. The suspect then fled eastbound on West 139 Street.

The identity of the man attacked has not been released by police.

A photo is at the left shows the suspect police are hoping to identify.
