NJ’s Governor Expecting “Breakout” Supplies of the Covid-19 Vaccinations by “April or May”

(Trenton, NJ/77WABC)-There is promising news from NJ Gov. Phil Murphy for people frustrated as they await scarce Covid-19 vaccination appointments.  In the short term, Governor Phil Murphy said Wednesday during his Covid-19 briefing that state residents can expect ” an incremental improvement” in shipments of Covid-19 during the coming weeks. However, by the last week of March into the first week of April, the Governor expects an “explosion” of Covid-19 vaccines from Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and Pfizer.

“I think if you get to the last week of March first week of April so your inflection point folks is either side of Easter which is on April 4th I believe the supplies both not just J and J but Pfizer and Moderna are going to I am gonna use the work explode we will be in a  dramatically quantum quantumly different place,” he said.

“You’re going to have breakout supplies in April and May,” Murphy added based on Pres. Joe Biden’s announcement that every American who wants a Covid-19 dose will have one by May of this year.

To date, 2,190,179 Covid-19 vaccinations have been given in the state of New Jersey. The state has lost over 23,000 residents due to Covid-19 with cases approaching the 800,000 mark.
