(Bronx, NY/77WABC)-Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly threw hot liquid into the face of a female MTA bus driver after the driver confronted the suspect for non-payment of his fare.
The NYPD says the driver of the BX6 MTA bus confronted the man over non-payment when the individual allegedly threw hot liquid in the 49-year-old female bus operator’s face on Wed. Feb. 3rd, 2021. The suspect rode the bus for approximately one-stop, threw the liquid as he got off the bus at 3rd Avenue and East 163 Street shortly before 11 am. He fled westbound, on foot, along East 163 Street.
Police say the bus driver refused medical attention.
The individual is described as a male, approximately in his mid-40s, 5’8″ tall, weighing 170 pounds, with a medium complexion, last seen wearing a black winter hat, a blue face mask, a dark blue jacket with red and white stripes on the sleeves, blue jeans and black boots.
