(Riverhead, NY/77WABC)-Police say it’s believed a driver suffered some type of a medical episode, going airborne and slamming his pick-up truck into a house in Riverhead Thursday. The crash happened shortly after 1 pm on West Main Street in Riverhead.
Suffolk County Police say the 1993 Ford pickup hit an embankment, went airborne, and then slammed into the front of the house.
Firefighters rescued the driver of the pickup and a passenger. The driver, a passenger, and a person inside of the residence suffered minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals.
An investigation is ongoing.
