(Brooklyn, NY/77WABC)-A suspect with a criminal past was arrested at the scene after passers-by flagged down police during a brutal baseball bat attack which has left a man in critical condition.
Police say the 54-year-old victim was riding his bike in the vicinity of Flatbush and Parkside avenues in the Prospect Lefferts Gardens section when he was suddenly attacked unprovoked.

The graphic video shows several people passing by the attack before a bystander eventually intervened.
46-year-old Ashanti Robinson, 46, remained at the scene and was taken into custody.
Police say he is charged with assault, menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon.
