(Brooklyn, NY/77WABC)-The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who spit on and brutally beat an MTA bis driver unconscious with a wooden two by four.
Police say around 9:00 in the morning Tuesday, the unidentified passenger approached the MTA driver and spit on him as the bus traveled west of Clarkson Ave. towards Remsen Ave. The suspect exitedd the bus. Police sat the driver exited the bus confronting the individual. The driver and the suspect engaged in a verbal dispute. The individual proceeded to pick up a piece of wood lying on the ground and struck the driver in the head before fleeing on foot, heading southbound on Remsen Avenue. The victim sustained a serious injury, contusion, and lost consciousness. EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to NYC Health & Hospitals/Kings County, where he is listed in stable condition.
The individual is described as a male, approximately 20-years-old, dark complexion, approximately 5’11” tall, weighing 170 lbs. He was last seen wearing a light-colored hooded jacket, a knit cap, blue jeans, surgical mask, sneakers, and a blue and green backpack.
