NEW YORK (77 WABC) – While some parts of New York are beginning their phased reopening today, most of the state will have to wait four more weeks, including New York City.  On Thursday night Governor Andrew Cuomo extended the stay-at-home order until June 13th.

Central New York, Mohawk Valley, Finger Lakes, Souther Tier and North Country are the five regions eligible to reopen.

Cuomo has set in place seven metrics for regions to meet prior to reopening under the Phase One guidelines.  This phase allows for construction, manufacturing and retail stores to allow curbside or in-store pickup only.

Governor Cuomo has since clarified that the extension is only until May 28.
