NEW YORK (77 WABC) – An NJ Transit passenger who suffered a heart attack shortly after boarding a rush-hour train on Monday has died, despite a doctors attempts to save him.
Shortly after 5 p.m., a conductor was told that the man who boarded the train was not feeling well. EMS and Amtrak Police responded to the call after a medical doctor arrived to the trains third car.
The doctor was able to briefly revive the man, identified as 63-year old Alfred Wood, but he later died.
The train traveling on the North Jersey Coast Line route was held at Penn Station until about 8 p.m.
