(New York, NY) – As the Biden administration delays a weapons shipment to Israel, 77 WABC personalities are pressuring the top Democrat in the US Senate to step up. Sid Rosenberg led a rally on Friday in Midtown Manhattan where he was joined by Curtis Sliwa. They gathered just outside 77 WABC Studios — steps from New York Senator Chuck Schumer’s Manhattan office.
Senator Schumer, the Senate Majority Leader and New York’s senior senator, has publicly defended President Biden and his course of action when it comes to Israel. He’s also been openly critical of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and called for regime change. That’s all largely in contrast to Schumer’s typically dogged support of Israel, all while he serves as one of the most prominent Jewish members of Congress. It’s worth noting the AIPAC — American Israel Public Affairs Committee — has donated over $1.5 million to Schumer’s campaigns dating back to 1990.
But on Friday, outside his office, Sid and Curtis demanded he rebuke the Biden administration — and immediately call for the weapons to be sent to Israel.
