The celebration of the Greek Revolution of 1821, commonly known as Greek Independence Day, takes place in Greece, Cyprus and Greek diaspora centers on 25 March every year. This year the New York City Greek Independence Day takes place on June 5, 2022 – with thousands of marchers and spectators on floats and on foot and 77 WABC was there to broadcast the event, hosted by John and Margo Catsimatidis.
