On this Thursday edition of Sid & Friends in the Morning, we still are without a Speaker of the House and a functioning Congress after Kevin McCarthy failed once again to get the votes needed to obtain the position. He's now failed to do so a total of six times, and three times consecutively, as a handful of Republican Representatives have created a mutiny against McCarthy taking the seat. A new name was nominated during yesterday's proceedings in the form of a one Byron Donalds, who Chip Roy vouched for on the House Floor. Both former President Trump and President Biden have tried to move the process along, with Biden calling the botched process "embarrassing," and Trump imploring Congress to seat McCarthy and move on to more pressing issues. Nonetheless, the House continues to stall and come up empty. In other news of the day, Sid recaps helping Mayor Eric Adams feed the homeless last night, COVID rears its ugly head once again as we begin 2023, Damar Hamlin continues to slowly make progress in the ICU in Cincinnati, and President Biden finally claims he plans on visiting the border in the coming days. Gordon Chang, Judge Andrew Napolitano, Bill O'Reilly, Joe Tacopina, Noel MaGuire and Mike Lawler join the program. As always, make sure you don't miss out on the Thursday installment of Lidia Reports with Lidia Curanaj and today's edition of The Peerless Boilers Sid's Take Contest.
