Happy Monday from us here at Bernie & Sid in the Morning! On today's program, Bernie & Sid react to the resilience and defiance of the Ukrainian people and especially their President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Ukraine has one thing that Vladimir Putin and his Russian army lack, and that is the will to fight for their country and their freedom. The United States had offered President Zelenskyy a way out of Ukraine, to which Zelenskyy responded "I need ammunition, not a ride." In other news of the day, crime in New York City continues to sleep deeper and deeper into anarchy, Governor Kathy Hochul announces the lifting of all in-school mask mandates, and Mayor Eric Adams says not so fast. Editor-in-Chief of National Review Rich Lowry joins the program as he does every Monday morning, and Fox News Contributor Dr. Marc Siegel calls in to talk about COVID and Hochul's decision to lift the in-school mask mandates. As always, make sure you don't miss out on Lidia Reports and The Peerless Boilers Beat Bernie Contest.
