Uncertainty in Uvalde | 06-01-22

On this hump day edition of Bernie & Sid in the Morning, the guys continue to speculate what might have gone wrong in the heads of the Texas police officers responding to the school shooting in Uvalde. It's looking more and more likely that the cops didn't enter the school upon arrival simply because, well, they were scared. Twenty-one bodies of innocent children will be buried today in Uvalde, and they could've been saved if only the cops did what they were trained to do. We back the boys in blue unconditionally here at Bernie & Sid in the Morning, but we are also not scared of pointing out the facts. Those facts, in this tragic case, are pointing to utter incompetence among the incident's first responders. In other news of the day, the Biden Administration teases the idea of banning handguns, Mayor Eric Adams calls gun violence a "national issue," Republicans do their best to point out the real cause of all this violence, our country's generals have gone woke, the White House continues to draw a blank on any solutions to inflation and rising gas prices, transgender swimmer Lia Thomas isn't fazed by her haters, but maybe she should be, Joe Rogan says Fox News has his back, and Korean Pop boy band BTS pays an awkward visit to the White House. As always, make sure you stay tuned for new installments of Lidia Reports and The Peerless Boilers Beat Bernie Contest.
