In other news of the day, Carl Wilson declared victory in Tuesday night’s special election for the 3rd Council District on Manhattan’s West Side – completing a campaign that had the backing of New York City’s Council speaker and much of the city’s political establishment, former FBI Director James Comey is expected to turn himself in today after being subject to a second federal indictment – charged with making threats against President Donald Trump, and Mayor Mamdani joined forces with City Council Speaker Julie Menin to try to squeeze more dough out of Albany – a plea that an increasingly peeved Gov. Kathy Hochul rejected yesterday.
