Andrew Cuomo seems to prefer make decisions while New Yorkers are asleep and proof of that is that Thursday evening nixed the plan for regions of Upstate New York enter Phase 2 of the reopening process which was scheduled to happen Friday. Chaos continues in Minneapolis over the death of George Floyd at the hands of a police officer and who else but Bill de Blasio weighed in on the incident tweeting that ‘If George Floyd was a white man he would be alive”. A tweet from President Trump was issued a warning by Twitter for “glorifying violence” when referring to the violence, looting and riots in Minneapolis. Bernie and Sid give their thoughts on all of it plus defense attorney Arthur Aidala stops by to talk about how the courts are handling this pandemic and what logistical hurdles stand in the courts way when we finally reopen. Sid’s cousin and former Minnesota Senator Norm Coleman makes an appearance to lend some insight into what is going on in Minneapolis. Actor and comedian Bob Saget also joins the program to talk about his interesting podcast that has a bunch of unique aspects in it and discusses the film festival he will present awards to the winners virtually. And finally, Matt Kuddish from NAMI-NYC closes out Mental Health Awareness Month and WABC Cares by letting our listeners know how they can reach out for mental health services as well as how you can support the programs at NAMI-NYC.
