Happy Monday from Bernie & Sid in the Morning. Another week of the best talk radio show in the country kicks off with the guys’ reactions to this years New York City marathon which took place Sunday morning and afternoon. 30,000 runners set off for the 26.2 mile journey through all five boroughs, which was at least 20,000 less than any of the pre-pandemic marathons. Regardless of the head count, New York City’s best and most revered local event was a resounding success again as the city continues to dig itself out of the hole that the Coronavirus left it in. Speaking of COVID, a couple more notable figures spoke out against vaccine mandates this weekend. Green Bay Packers superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers made an appearance on The Pat Mcafee Show to explain why he is personally unvaccinated and why his vaccination status led to him being inactive for the Packers on Sunday. Additionally, President of the UFC Dana White also spoke up regarding the mandates sweeping the country, making it clear that he doesn’t believe in forcing anyone, especially his fighters, to get the jab. Dr. Marc Siegel joins Bernie & Sid to discuss these mandates and the utter breach on our freedom that they represent. Editor-in-Chief of National Review Rich Lowry also calls in for his weekly Monday morning chat with the boys. Another week of Lidia Reports and The Peerless Boilers Beat Bernie Contest kicks off today as well, so be sure you don’t miss out on either of those great features.
