One Day at a Time | 09-29-21

On this hump day edition of Bernie & Sid in the Morning, the boys react to the questioning of General Mark Milley, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and General Kenneth McKenzie on Capitol Hill yesterday regarding the disastrous exit from Afghanistan that they helped President Biden carry out. Will anybody take accountability for the deaths of 13 service members and the utter disregard for the Americans and allies still stranded in Afghanistan? Milley, Austin, and McKenzie did their best to cover the President's tracks for him, but relentless questioning from various Senators forced the Generals to expose Biden and his pathological lying. Also in national news, the vaccine continues to spring debate among Americans as to whether or not people should be mandated to receive the shot. Among others, Orlando Magic player Jonathan Isaac and ESPN reporter Sage Steele spoke out against the vaccine being forced on Americans. This week, health care workers and teachers alike will begin to lose their employment status if they have failed to get the vaccine up to this point. The boys call out the unconstitutionality of these mandates and reinforce the idea that if there is any level of risk involved in taking the vaccine, each individual should have a choice as to whether or not they receive it. In more local news, last night New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy faced off against his primary opponent Jack Ciattarelli in the first official debate between the two. Although Murphy did declare victory following the debate, it's clear from the tape that Ciattarelli wiped the floor with the current Governor.
