Officer Cordova had served with the Nogales Police Department for one year after having served with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office for 10 years. He left behind his wife Alyssa, who was pregnant at the time, and three children; Nicolas, Sophia, and Victoria. Alyssa gave birth to Jesus in the summer of 2019. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation paid off the family’s mortgage as part of its 2020 Season of Hope campaign.
