In Memory of Javier Gutierrez – US Army

Army Sergeant First Class Javier Gutiérrez, 28, of the 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) out of Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, was killed in action on February 8, 2020, while conducting a special operation, he was ambushed by enemy forces.SFC Gutierrez enlisted in the Army in 2009. He served 10 years in the Army and four years in Special Forces with combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He left behind his wife Elena, and their children Gabriel, Eden, Helen, and Emee. The Gutiérrez family received a mortgage-free home through the Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s Gold Star Program in Crestview, Florida.
