In Memory of Detective Sgt. Frank Daniel Gualdino

Throughout his 24-year career, he worked in multiple departments: 3rd Precinct, Traffic Court, and, after being promoted to Sergeant, he joined the Traffic/Motorcycle Unit. As a Sergeant, his duties consisted of but were not limited to, organizing movie/TV shoots, scouting locations for scenes, as well as overseeing motorcycle escorts and processions. Whether his task was large or small, Frank always carried out his duties with grace, exuberance, and diligence. Gualdino was killed in a vehicle crash in Yonkers on Tuckahoe Road. He was driving westbound when an oncoming vehicle lost control and collided with his unmarked car and a transit bus. Detective Gualdino was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
