Bernie & Sid in the Morning kicks off 77 WABC’s Hispanic Heritage Day celebration with an amazing lineup of guests throughout the entire morning show. Owner of Red Apple Media John Catsimatidis joins the boys in the opening hour of the show to kick off the day’s celebration and offers his insight as to why it’s of the utmost importance to highlight Hispanic New Yorkers and all they do for the community. In addition to John Catsimatidis, Bernie & Sid also welcome the CEO of Goya Foods Bob Unanue to kick off the second hour of today’s program. Bob discusses Goya Food’s rise to become America’s largest Hispanic owned food company, and the pride he has in holding such a title. Following Mr. Unanue, Peter King joins the program as he usually does on Wednesday’s. After the former Congressman, Republican nominee for New York City Mayor Curtis Sliwa joins Bernie & Sid in studio to share his thoughts on Democratic nominee Eric Adams outwardly calling him a racist with no real substance to back up that point. Capping off the third hour of today’s program, Chef Julian Medina calls into Bernie & Sid in the Morning to talk about the handful of Mexican restaurants he owns and operates throughout the city. Medina has garnered accolades from the food media on a regular basis throughout his career, including recognition from The New York Times and The New Yorker. Finally, Community Consultant for the New York Yankees Ray Negron chats with the boys about his remarkable story growing up in the Bronx. Ray was brought under the wing of none other than the Boss, George Steinbrenner, who helped Ray find a home within the Yankees organization. Ray talks about how his relationship with Steinbrenner came to be and eloquently stated multiple times that the Boss “saved his life.”
