Amelia Lewis | NYU Student | 12-05-25

NYU Student Amelia Lewis calls in to share her traumatic experience of being attacked on a Monday morning while walking near Broadway and Waverly Place. She describes how a middle-aged man hit her, pulled her hair, and threw her to the ground in broad daylight, leaving her in shock and fear. Bystanders quickly came to her aid, and she reported the incident to the police. Despite still being in shock and dealing with ongoing police and court proceedings, Amelia hopes to raise awareness about safety issues and the need for increased security, especially for young women in the city.
