That's right folks, NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio suggests that all New Yorkers who go outside should have a mask or something to cover your face to help slow the spread of the coronavirus that is taking the globe by storm. Bernie and Sid have the latest on the coronavirus and the precautions we need to be taking to slow the spread of this virus. Now see the beautiful part of the Bernie and Sid in the Morning show is the polar opposite attitudes that Bernie and Sid have regarding this crisis. Sid sheds light on the things like shelter in place and social distancing and how it is frustrating a lot of New Yorkers. Bernie on the other hand is looking at those same guidelines with an understanding that things are not going to change overnight. This dichotomy is that Sids perspective gives Bernie the opportunity to help Sid, and again like many of us, to realize what we have to do to get things back to normal in a calm and reasonable way. It is a thing of beauty how that dynamic allows for the listeners to get the full range of emotions some may be experiencing and gives comfort to know that there are ways to channel those emotions to help get through this crisis. It wasn't all Bernie and Sid today though. Dr. Patrick Borgen, Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, stops by to give us an idea of how Maimonides is handling the influx of coronavirus patients. And The Naked Cowboy calls in from an empty Time Square to report on how he is surviving during the crisis and providing an uplifting outlook on this crisis.
