(Washington, DC) – Tulsi Gabbard has resigned as Director of National Intelligence.

Gabbard, who had been serving as the nation’s top intelligence official, is stepping down from one of the most high-profile national security roles in the federal government.

Her resignation marks a major shakeup inside the intelligence community and immediately raises questions about who will be tapped to replace her.

The position oversees coordination across U.S. intelligence agencies and plays a central role in briefing the president on national security threats.

The White House has not yet announced a replacement.
