(New York, NY) – Conservatives are outraged over more previous posts from the Mayor’s wife coming to light. A report from the Washington Free Beacon is linking a now-hacked Tumblr profile to the city’s First Lady, piling on to the controversy she has been facing over previous social media activity. While the mayor nor his wife have verified the accounts as genuine, some pro-Israel voices are slamming the couple anyways for what they claim is glorifying terrorism.
One repost allegedly from Rama Duwaji is picking up traction online in particular, a photo and quote from Leila Khaled. Khaled was a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) movement and was detained in Britain for a 1969 plane hijacking. The Free Beacon reports the posts come from when the first lady was in her early teens and 20s while she was living in the Middle East. Duwaji spent her early childhood in New Jersey, before moving to Dubai in 2006. She eventually came back to the states to attend college. The Mayor continues to maintain his stance on his wife’s posts. When first pressed on previous likes and reposts, Mamdani said his wife is the love of his life, but does not hold any official capacity in his administration.
