(Louisville, KY) — Muhammad Ali’s legacy is forever stamped. The U.S. Postal Service today released a commemorative forever stamp honoring the three-time heavyweight boxing champion, who died in 2016. The Postal Service printed 22-million Muhammad Ali stamps.
The stamps cost 78 cents each, and a sheet of 20 Muhammad Ali Forever Stamps costs $15.60.
Ali’s widow, Lonnie at a ceremony held in Ali’s hometown of Louisville said her husband, known for his confidence, always told her the only way he could be licked would be on a stamp. Sportscaster Bob Costas says Muhammad Ali has a global presence.
