(New York, NY) — Times Square is all ready for the new year. The seven foot numerals depicting 2026 are on display in the crossroads of the world for the next few days and people from all over the country have stopped by to check them out.
The numerals will be on display until Monday and the public can also write their wishes for the new year on confetti. Those numerals will then be display atop of One Times Square in front of the more than 12-thousand pound New Year’s ball.
The ball has come a long way since its first version in 1907, which was wooden. Now it has more than 52-hundred Waterford crystals, nearly double the previous version, and it’s all on display for anyone who wants to buy a ticket, which could run you anywhere from 28 to 128 dollars depending on the package you choose.
