(New York, NY) — A night at the museum is back! Sleepovers at the American Museum of Natural History started back in 2006 when the movie “Night at the Museum” was released. However, when the pandemic hit in 202, the event for parents and kids was discontinued. Fans of the event can rejoice. Starting October 24th, the sleepovers are coming back. For 225-dollars per child and adult, you’ll be able to sleep among the dinosaur skeletons and a giant Blue whale that hangs from the ceiling. “A Night at the Museum: The Overnight Experience” will have upcoming dates in October, November, December and into 2026.
Museum President Sean Decatur said, “We are excited to reintroduce this celebrated program that provides a rare opportunity for guests to experience the wonders of the Museum long after visitors have gone home.” He added, “Whether it’s the thrill of encountering Tyrannosaurus rex by flashlight or the awe of sleeping beneath the massive Blue Whale, the experience is sure to create memories that families will treasure forever.”
Unlike the movie, the relics inside the museum do not come to life.
