The Republican National Convention Kicks off in Milwaukee
(Orem, UT) — Police in Utah say they have the gunman who allegedly killed Charlie Kirk in custody. Utah Governor Spencer Cox identified the suspect as 22-year-old Utah resident Tyler Robinson. He says a family member went to police with information. Charlie Kirk died after being shot in the neck at a Turning Point event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
President Trump says he hopes Charlie Kirk’s killer gets the death penalty. He made the comment while appearing on Fox News this morning. Trump went on to praise the conservative activist, Kirk as “the finest person.” He said that everybody liked Kirk and said “he didn’t deserve this.” Kirk’s casket was flown to Phoenix on Thursday on Air Force Two and was escorted by Vice President JD Vance.
