Minneapolis Continues Mourning
Investigation into the recent mass shooting at a Catholic school in Minneapolis carries on as more survivors share their stories. Two children were killed, Fletcher Merkel, 8, and Harper Moyski, 10, while nearly 20 others were injured. Authorities believe the shooter had an obsession with mass shootings and previous perpetrators. The shooter, identified as 23 year old Robin Westman, shot at the school from the outside before taking their own life.

Legionnaires Outbreak Declared Over
The New York City Health Department says the outbreak of the legionnaires disease centered in Harlem is no longer a threat for local residents. Officials are closing their investigation into the cluster, saying the last day anyone would have begun feeling symptoms was August 9th. Since then, over 100 cases have been reported. The Health Department also claims they cleaned out the cooling towers where they traced the origins of the outbreak. Seven people died, and 90 people were sent to the hospital.

This comes several weeks after the Israeli military announced they wanted to expand offensive operations in the city, where hundreds of thousands are living under famine. United Nations agencies and several aid groups condemned the push into the Gaza Strip’s largest city.
