(Cupertino, CA) — Apple says it has shipped its three-billionth iPhone. CEO Tim Cook made the announcement yesterday in an earnings call. Sales of iPhones have been on an upward trend since Apple introduced the first portable device in 2007. By 2016, it had sold a billion of them, and by 2021 it had sold two billion iPhones. It only took four more years for the company to sell three billion. “The Verge” says Apple is now rumored to be working on A.I. devices, including AI smartwatches, AirPods and smart glasses.
Apple is slated to premiere it’s new iPhone 17 in September. It will reportedly be an ultra-thin phone that is powered by a basic A19 chip.
