(New York, NY) – This week is the kickoff of New York City Restaurant Week. Almost 600 restaurants throughout the five boroughs will offer special deals, from 2 course lunches and 3 course meals — starting at $30.
NYC Restaurant Week began in 1992 as a one-time culinary event to celebrate the Democratic National Convention – but it quickly gained popularity among locals eager to enjoy meals at some of the city’s premier restaurants at reduced prices.
Even though it is called restaurant week, it will run from today until August 17.
