(New York, NY) – Costco has launched early shopping hours for some of its US members. The exclusive perk is reserved for “executive” members — allowing access to warehouses from 9:00 AM through 10:00 AM on weekdays and Sundays. Members get the exclusivity from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Saturdays.
The retailer says customers have been looking to upgrade memberships as a result of the policy. And company officials describe the program as a way to boost satisfaction among its members. Food courts, optical centers, pharmacies and similar in-store services are included in the exclusive shopping hours. Costco’s popular and price-friendly gas stations also follow the exclusive hours — driving sales.
