(Brooklyn, NY) – Joey Chestnut, the 16-time champion of Nathan’s July 4th Hot Dog Eating Contest, is returning this year after missing the 2024 contest. He was previously barred due to a sponsorship conflict with a plant-based hot dog brand – which Nathan’s viewed as a rival brand.
Chestnut says that the misunderstanding has been resolved, and he plans to reclaim his title from last year’s winner, Patrick Bertoletti.
