(New York, NY) — At least 8 NYPD vehicles were torched overnight in a parking lot in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Police suspect arson. Neighbors checking out the damage along DeKalb Avenue, say cars are hallowed out from the intense flames.

The lot where the cars are parked is just a few blocks away from the 83rd Precinct. Police tell ABC News that they believe some of the cars were vandalized before they were set on fire. They also say the smelled gas when they arrived at the scene.

The FDNY say they got a call about a fire around 1:30 a.m. Police are looking through surveillance videos hoping to ID anyone near the scene.
