(New York, NY) — Consumer Reports has come out with a list of “really risky” foods you should avoid. Their new survey of the ten riskiest foods is based on recalls, reports of food making people sick and foodborne illnesses that have caused deaths.
The list includes deli meat, cucumbers, onions, raw carrots, raw milk and raw cheese, Cotija and Queso Fresco cheese, eggs and leafy greens, organic basil, and some cooked meat and poultry. When it comes to leafy greens, CR warns that many are susceptible to being contaminated by nearby cattle feedlots.
