(New York, NY) — The Spanish family of five killed in the Hudson River helicopter crash was laid to rest in Barcelona. Hundreds of mourners gathered to say goodbye to Agustín Escobar and Mercè Camprubí Montal and their three children, aged 10, 9 and 4. They were all killed when their sightseeing chopper broke apart and crashed into the Hudson on April 10th.
During the funeral service a slideshow showed the family on vacations and holiday celebrations, while Frank Sinatra’s song “New York, New York” played over the loudspeakers. The helicopter crash, which also killed the pilot, is still under investigation by the NTSB.
