(New York, NY) – After sharing some choice words for the city’s subway system, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is getting a closer look. Joined by Mayor Eric Adams, Duffy took the B-train from the Dekalb Station in Brooklyn to Broadway-Lafayette in Manhattan. Video posted on Instagram shows Hizzoner giving Duffy a bit of a tutorial on how to use a MetroCard. Duffy did not walk back his comments bashing the transit system, but took the opportunity to double down. Duffy criticized the congestion pricing toll, calling it unfair, classist and elitist. Duffy said he wants to get some of the workers in Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency to probe into the MTA. Absent from this meeting was any MTA officials like CEO Janno Lieber, and Governor Kathy Hochul who controls the agency.
