(New York, NY) — The MTA is making changes to speed up travel times on Metro-North’s New Haven line, calling it the “Super Express.” It’s launched six trains, three during the morning rush and three during the evening rush to get riders to and from NY and New Haven about ten-minutes faster.
MTA Chair Janno Lieber says travel times on those Super Express trains are faster because stops have been eliminated in Harlem and train speeds have been been raised to up to 88 miles per hour. A Metro-North ticket on the route is 21-dollars versus 120-dollars on Acela.
